KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Scientific Club (KSC) has announced it will organize the 10th International Fair for Inventions in the Middle East, under His Highness the Amir sponsorship, on January 28-31.
Talal Al-Kharafi, the club chairman, said in a statement on Wednesday that due to His Highness' support, Kuwait has won first rank in the Middle East and the second internationally in the sector of backing scientific innovations.
As a result of the same reason, Kuwait has advanced 11 points ranking the 56th in the international index of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Al-Kharafi added.
The Kuwait fair has been classified as the second after the Geneva scientific exhibition, he elaborated. (end)
